The Temple

ISKCON Saranagati

The Saranagati Temple is part of The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

We are proud to be part of the Saranagati Village and to serve its community.

Activities

Congregational gatherings

Weekly Sunday Feasts

Every week, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, we invite everyone to an evening of dancing, chanting and feasting… and also some philosophical discourses.

Monthly 6-hour Kirtans

In order to help everyone engage in the yuga-dharma, the spiritual duty for this age, as taught by Lord Chaitanya, our temple hosts a 6-hour kirtan every month.

Educational initiatives

Classes

We offer different types of classes both online and in-person. Although our in-person classes are mainly offered to residents and guests of the Saranagati Village, we have many online educational opportunities. Please see the front page for the current classes we are offering.

Outreach

We distribute books online, on the streets, from door to door and also at our temple’s book table.

We also go in public and share the Hare Krishna mantra by chanting it loudly. We call this simple, but sublime, activity Harinam Sankirtan.

Future plans

Retreats

We would like to serve the local communities of devotees as well as the general public by offering them a variety of retreats. These retreats are intended to be a wonderful source of spiritual nourishment. We are currently working on creating facilities to receive guests. If you would like to contribute in this regard, please contact us.

Prasadam distribution

Prasadam distribution is an essential element of Krishna Consciousness. Not only are the devotees instructed to prepare and offer sumptuous foodstuffs to the Lord, taking only His remnants as their own eatables, they are also requested to liberally distribute Krishna prasadam to all other persons who are suffering due to spiritual hunger. We hope to do such distribution at least once a month.
